Two Way Street Coffee House is Chicagoland’s most beloved folk and acoustic music venue, presenting weekly concerts and community events for over 50 years!
On Friday, January 3, 2025, Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series will present an open mic.
Local musicians it is your turn to perform at the Two Way Street Coffee House!
You can sign up at the venue when doors open at 7:30 pm CT. You are welcome to perform or just listen.
You’ll never know who might pop in to Two Way Street’s OPEN MIC NIGHT! One thing we do know: There will be a great variety of acoustic acts. The show starts at 8pm (CT).
These tend to be a popular event, the number of acts may need to be limited. Each act will present two songs, for a 6 – 10 minute performance.

Welcome to 5th Saturdays at the Two Way Street Coffee House! Saturdays are special! An Welcome to 5th Saturdays at the Two Way Street Coffee House! An extra Saturday in a month comes around only a few times a year, so we decided to commemorate each one with a special event. 5th Saturdays in 2025 occur in March, June, August and November.
For our March event, Two Way Street Coffee House, in partnership with the Plank Road Folk Music Society, is pleased to present two clawhammer banjo workshops with Ken Perlman on March 29, 2025. The basic clawhammer workshop runs from 11am – 1pm and the intermediate clawhammer workshop runs from 2pm – 4pm CT.
This event will be in-person or virtual attendance. The admission price is $25 per participant and will be limited to 25 in-person attendees for each workshop.
The registration deadline is March 25, 2025.
