On Friday, June 20, 2025 Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Lonesome Eagle.
We are excited to welcome back local favorite Lonesome Eagle comprised of Gregg Morton, Cathy Jones and Ron Leaneagh. The trio are two fun-loving guys and one nice lady who love folk music and have done folk music and other music all our lives. They are all active members of Plank Road Folk Music Society in Downers Grove, IL where we all met. Lonesome Eagle has performed many times, separately and together, at the Two Way Street Coffee House and other venues in the Chicago area. They share with our audiences a variety of traditional and contemporary folk music, featuring a lot of three-part vocal harmony and all acoustic instruments – guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle.

Join us outdoors at 1101 Curtiss Street in Downers Grove, Illinois, where the Plank Road String Band will fill the air with lively old-time music. A skilled caller will be there to guide dancers of all ages and skill levels—no experience necessary!
This free community event is perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy a joyful celebration of music and movement. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a total beginner, we guarantee a great time!
In case of rain, we’ll move the festivities indoors to 1047 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove, Illinois.

Introducing the Heritage Matinee Series!
Welcome to the Heritage Matinee Series at the Two Way Street Coffee House! We are thrilled to announce a new concert series at the Two Way Street Coffee House, taking place on select Sunday afternoons in 2025. In each concert, Mark Dvorak and Ashley & Simpson will be joined by two local artists for a matinee concert, all benefitting the Two Way Street Coffee House! 100% of free-will donations collected at each concert will support the Two Way Street Coffee House’s operation and programming. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and it’s a great way to support Two Way Street! All shows will begin at 3pm (CT) and the doors will open at 2:30pm.
