We’re sorry to share that the 5th Saturdays workshop with Bobcat Opossum, scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, has been canceled due to a change in the artists’ schedule.

Please note: Bobcat Opossum’s Friday night concert on August 28 at Two Way Street is still happening as scheduled.

Welcome to 5^th Saturdays at the Two Way Street Coffee House!  Saturdays are special!  An extra Saturday in a month comes around only a few times a year, so we decided to commemorate each one with a special event.  5^th Saturdays in 2026 occur in January, May, August and October.

For our August event, Two Way Street Coffee House, in partnership with the Plank Road Folk Music Society, is pleased to present “Sing and Play in Harmony” with Bobcat Opossum on August 29, 2026.  This workshop runs from 11am – 1pm CT.

This event will be in-person only.  The admission price is $25 per participant and will be limited to 25 in-person attendees. The registration deadline is August 25, 2026. 

Workshop Title: Sing and Play in Harmony

Taught by multi-instrumentalists and educators Sean Hoffman and Ellen Coplin of the duo Bobcat Opossum! This workshop will guide participants to better understand playing and singing harmony through hands-on music theory and ear training. Bring your imagination and get ready to have a whole lot of fun learning a song and exploring how to hear harmonies and express them with your voice and instrument. 

“Bobcat Opossum is a tune slinging, genre bending duo from the back alleys of the Midwestern wilderness. They’ve picked through the field and around the campfires for the tastiest folk songs and fiddle tunes in all the land. They have trod the rugged roads of Irish and Old Time American traditional music and have lived to tell the tales.
