Two Way Street Coffee House is Chicagoland’s most beloved folk and acoustic music venue, presenting weekly concerts and community events for over 50 years! The show starts at 8pm (CT) and the doors open at 7:30pm. (Suggested donation $10). We will also host this concert virtually. The Woodshop Boys embody the spirit of traditional folk music—friends gathering to make music, share stories, and celebrate craftsmanship. Performing on instruments they’ve built themselves, they bring old-time tunes, sea shanties, and timeless favorites to life with warmth, skill, and a deep love of the tradition.
An innovative traditional old time string band that stretches boundaries in every performance. Their music will have the audience tapping their feet to fiddle tunes and singing along with some old time favorites. This band formed in 2009 at a Woodshop with members common passion of woodworking and instrument building and a shared love of playing and singing. The Boys perform with some of the instruments they have built and carefully craft their sets around the instruments. These boys mix it up from fiddle tunes to sea shanties powerful vocals capture everyone as does the musicality with fiddle banjo guitar harmonica accordion and others. The Woodshop Boys musical influences include The Carter Family, Doc Watson, Foghorn Stringband, Woody Guthrie only to name a few.
