On Friday, March 27, 2026 Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Jon Ball.

Struck by the music bug as a youngster, Jon Ball is a true “music lifer.” After immersing himself in garage bands, folk societies, and theater programs, he continued his studies at U of I before dedicating 35 years to educating young musicians, with 34 of those years spent right here in Downers Grove. Though he spent over three decades as a school band director, his guitar was never far away. Now retired, Jon has returned to his roots as a singer-songwriter, lending his talents to popular local acoustic ensembles The Downhillers and Trillium. Jon brings to the Two Way Street Coffee House 50+ years of passion, featuring heartfelt and engaging music from the 1950s to today. Come share in an evening of songs that lift the heart, make you think, or simply tickle your fancy.

Join us for an evening with Jon Ball, a Downers Grove music staple! A lifer with 50+ years of experience, Jon is a retired band director, guitarist, and vocalist currently performing with local acoustic favorites The Downhillers and Trillium. Bringing his guitar back to his roots, Jon delivers a curated selection of songs from the 1950s to today—designed to lift the heart, make you think, or tickle your fancy. Don’t miss this veteran musician sharing his love for music at the Two Way Street.
